Pastor Doug Schroeder

Reverend Doug Schroeder is the Senior Pastor of Crossroads Community Church and has been a member for the past 25 years, serving many of those years on the church board, and is currently the church board president. Prior to his pastoring at Crossroads, he was employed by Parmalat Canada for 16 years, working in sales management. Doug is the President for the Cornerstone Board of Directors.

 

Brian Dunkerley 

Brian Dunkerley has spent the last 30+ years as a production accountant in the oil industry. Brian served a two year term as the president of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accounting and has been a member of its Educational Committee for many years. Brian has also taught Petroleum History at local colleges for 10 years. Brian is active in the community, having served eight years as the moderator for the Mustard Seed (Calgary) Street Ministry and was a member of its board of directors for 15 years. In addition, Brian has been involved as a senior leader with Scouts Canada. Brian is on a temporary medical leave of absence.

 

Bill Welch

Bill Welch has volunteered with Cornerstone since it first began in 1992. Bill is a software verification contractor who has carried out work for various companies and has worked onsite with several large corporations including Harris Wireless, Telus Mobility, Enmax, and Nortel Networks. Bill is a member of Crossroads Community Church and serves as a director on our board as well as volunteering at the centre.  

Mitch Peters

It was Mitch’s desire to support his local community that prompted him to join the board of directors for Cornerstone in 2005. Mitch brings a wealth of experience from previous business endeavours. Mitch and his family attend Centre Street Church.

Doug Groom

Doug Groom has been a member of our board of directors since 2007. Doug is an accountant and brings those skills as well as a compassion for kids and a zeal for effective ministry to our board. Doug currently works for Butler Survey Supplies. Doug is a long time member of Crossroads Community Church and a resident of the Mayland Heights community.


Jennifer Freudenthaler

Jennifer is a native Calgarian who is passionate about community and the environment. Currently she works part time at Green Calgary, a local non-profit environmental group who are involved in helping Calgarians learn about the environment and healthy choices. Living in Bridgeland, Jennifer has been involved in the past in the youth soccer programs and many of the Old Bridgeland Days events. Jennifer has been a long time board member of Sojourner’s Camp and Wilderness Society. She has volunteered at camp as a cook, and has very much enjoyed spending time with the youth during camp weeks. Jennifer is married and has two adult children.
